Clinical Services

Solterra’s Aftercare Clinical Services extend learning beyond the school day, delivered by the same care team your child already knows and trusts. Sessions take place in a natural, engaging environment where therapy is woven into play, movement, and social connection, rather than delivered in isolation from a child’s everyday world.

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)

Applied Behavior Analysis is the evidence-based practice of understanding how behavior is learned and using that understanding to build meaningful skills. In our aftercare setting, ABA is delivered through Natural Environment Teaching (NET), embedding instruction directly into play, movement, and everyday social opportunities rather than isolated tabletop drills. Because our BCBAs and behavior technicians are part of the same team supporting your child throughout the school day, aftercare ABA reinforces consistent strategies across every setting.

Speech-Language Pathology (SLP)

Speech-Language Pathology addresses the development of communication, including expressive and receptive language, articulation, and social communication skills. Our aftercare SLP sessions use natural, motivating contexts, conversation during play, peer interaction, and movement-based activities, to help students practice communication skills in the moments they're most likely to use them. Continuity with the same speech-language pathologist supporting a student's school day allows therapy goals to stay aligned and consistent.

Occupational Therapy (OT)

Occupational Therapy supports the fine motor, sensory processing, and self-regulation skills that allow a child to participate fully in daily life. In aftercare, OT is integrated into movement-based and play-based activities, climbing, building, sensory exploration, and group games, so skill-building feels like natural play rather than clinical exercise. The same occupational therapist working with a student during the school day continues that relationship into aftercare, ensuring consistent strategies and follow-through.
