About Us

Our Mission

Solterra School provides a nurturing, highly individualized learning environment that blends evidence-based therapies with innovative education. Our mission is simple yet bold: to redefine what’s possible for neurodivergent students.

Our Philosophy

We believe the best learning happens when students feel safe — emotionally, relationally, from a sensory perspective, and physically. At Solterra, therapeutic supports and educational instruction are not two separate worlds. They’re integrated seamlessly, helping every student learn in ways that honor their strengths, their needs, and their unique story.

Why “Solterra”?

Sol (sun) represents warmth, clarity, and possibility.
Terra (earth) symbolizes grounding, stability, and growth.

Together, Solterra reflects our eco-conscious, harmonious, innovative approach to education – where light and stability meet to support meaningful progress.

Meet Our Leadership

Brittney Schuessler
Founder & CEO

Solterra is an expression of Brittney Schuessler’s life work. Growing up in a family that provided emergency foster care to therapeutic-level children, she experienced firsthand both the impact of intentional care and the limitations of fragmented systems. As a visionary educator and soul-led leader, Brittney brings her lived experience and professional expertise together to align every Solterra system, team, and space with heart, innovation, and intention. As a parent, she understands that a school must be more than a place of learning — it must be a community families trust, where children are seen, supported, and genuinely safe to be themselves.
